The narrator, Cassandra Harwood, uses her posh British accent to depict the very handsome James Jacobs. He appears to be very sweet for a man of Hollywood, which makes him seem even more tempting. A fictitious celebrity, who has sultry blue eyes and a mound of dark thick hair. The big interview is with a gorgeous hunk of a man. And the papparazzi cameras are only an earshot away. Needless to say, this is where the drama begins. In hopes of trying to stay cool, calm and collected before her make it or break it interview, Angela gets drunk at times where she should be sober. Angela has become more accustomed to her new New York lifestyle, working for The Look magazine and is feeling a lot more relaxed. Book 2 of the i heart series happens 6 months after the disastrous incident with her fiancé back in England. Even when we feel confident, there is still some doubt about our own bodies, which is totally normal. I was so ashamed of my sunburnt looking wings spilling out at the sides of my bikini line! Lindsey Kelk also describes the sudden awareness of Angela feeling suddenly uncomfortable by the pool, like Bridget Jones, from "Bridget Jones's Diary", did in her mini skirt. In a rush, the wax had desensitized my sensitive bits, causing for an uncomfortable holiday. This reminds me of when a friend gave me a last minute wax before a girl's holiday to Ibiza.

Like "Sex and the City", there is a bikini wax moment. Not judging or anything! Although Angela craves the warm sunshine on her face in the middle of winter, it has completely slipped her mind that the weather entails some undressing at some point. And my my Jenny! Who would've thought?! We all have a past, just some are more colourful than others I guess. that give us some juicy background on Jenny. It's not quite a foursome of girls like in the "Sex in the City" movie, but we do meet other characters in L.A. But then there are other other unexpected curve balls that hit us in the face! Just like Carrie from "Sex and the City", British blogger Angela flies out to L.A with her gal Jenny. Well, for a bit of spice and adventure, some curve balls are greatly appreciated. So, what more was there to ask for? We are quickly reminded that life doesn't just end once we meet the one! Life goes on and sometimes life throws us curve balls.

Starting this book almost felt like it might get a bit boring. Start with book 1 before listening to this one!
