Gaby totally reminds me of Audrina or as Perez Hilton calls her, “Ceiling Eyes” and this time around, they got on my freaking nerves. It reminded me how much I couldn’t stand Heidi and reading this book again made me remember how much I loved watching Lauren Conrad grow into the woman she became on The Hills since I was an avid fan of hers when she was on Laguna Beach and I hated Kristin Cavallari because she was such a b word. They had to re-tape situations over and over again to get the footage that they wanted and well, it was like getting a behind the scenes sneak peek at the whole production and while I enjoyed it, it wasn’t the best thing since slice bread.įor me, the story served as reminding me just how much I liked The Hills.

Now if you’ve watched The Hills series finale with Brody walking off the set the way that he did, it left you with the impression that maybe the show was scripted (oh who are we kidding? Still, I loved that show) and you see further proof of that here in this book. We see them learning for themselves what it’s like to live in the spotlight and to live in the big city bright lights of Hollywood. This book follows Jane Roberts and Scarlet Harp as they go from regular no name people off the street to reality tv’s hit sensation. Reading this book was like watching an episode of The Hills and since I was a huge fan of the show, I was all about that in this book. It’s got all of the glitz and glam of Hollywood and though I’m not a big fan of the cut throat Hollywood lifestyle that I’ve read in books but this book wasn’t done up too bad. Reading this book again after so much time was like reading it for the first time. I read this book for the first when it first came out because I requested the book from my contacts over at Avon because I was a huge Lauren Conrad fan and still am but this series has totally fallen off my radar so I’m here to bring it back. In a city filled with people chasing after their dreams, it’s not long before Jane… But those same friends who are always up for a wild night are also out for a piece of Jane’s spotlight. Fame brings more than she ever imagined possible for a girl from Santa Barbara free designer clothes, the choicest tables at the most exclusive clubs, invites to Hollywood premieres and she’s lapping up the VIP treatment with her eclectic entourage of new pals. When Jane and Scarlett are approached by a producer who wants them to be on his new series, a “reality version of Sex and the City,” they can hardly believe their luck. for an internship, but Jane plans to play as hard as she works, and has enlisted her BFF Scarlett to join in the fun. Nineteen-year-old Jane Roberts can’t wait to start living it up. Los Angeles is all about the sweet life: hot clubs, cute guys, designer.
